I picked up so many useful tips working with professional painters during my decorative painting days. One of the best time saving hacks I learned was how to paint cabinet shelves on both sides at the same time!
The main idea is to use the the edges of the shelf that won't be painted to balance against something sturdy so you can paint both sides at the same time.

I bought this sideboard years ago at a flea market and had my contractor friend help me build a hutch for the top with salvaged wood from his job site. I painted these pieces to fit in my bedroom at the time.
