It's one thing to sign up for One Room Challenge- an 8 week makeover campaign on Instagram. It's quite another to take on three spacious rooms in the luxury home of a real client!
I love her aplomb and capacity to see rooms with a completely new point of view. The largescale pendants in this room alone just blow my mind in the best possible way.
But she didn't stop there.
The dining room flanks an airy entryway with a grand staircase. Jewel chose an unexpected trim color, New Life KM5113, to define this room and set the tone for unexpected fun and surprises throughout the house.
New Life is a surprisingly versatile color that feels elegant enough for a grand entrance yet casual enough to bring the groceries in without feeling like you've come in the wrong entrance.
The room opposite the dining room and across the entry seems equally daunting with its massive size and another wall of outdated built-in shelves.
Jewel promptly painted these cabinets with sedate Midnight Sky KMA83 before having the fireplace re-tiled to create a quiet cozy backdrop to the furnishings and wallpaper she added next.

My favorite features of Marlowe's designs are the dramatic ceiling colors, the journey she creates with color schemes from room to room, and her courage to go big on size with everything from lighting to wallpaper patterns.
