Paint Hack: Cut shelf drying time in half

I picked up so many useful tips working with professional painters during my decorative painting days. One of the best time saving hacks I learned was how to paint cabinet shelves on both sides at the same time!

Shannon Kaye shares a paint hack with Kelly-Moore Paints to paint built-in cabinet shelves on both sides at the same time to save drying time

The main idea is to use the the edges of the shelf that won't be painted to balance against something sturdy so you can paint both sides at the same time.

This video also includes a tip for painting each side quickly to save time painting as well!

I bought this sideboard years ago at a flea market and had my contractor friend help me build a hutch for the top with salvaged wood from his job site. I painted these pieces to fit in my bedroom at the time.

Shannon Kaye painted this vintage flea market sideboard dresser with chevron patter and metallic finish adding blue painted shelves

It needed a refresh for my new home where it'll go in our dining area. Stay tuned for details on that!
